Winter is coming.



It's getting cold. Walking outside is starting to suck. Soon there will be snow on the ground and then snowbanks on the street. The drive to work or school will turn into a traffic jam through a boreal hell. We will have to spend a few minutes brushing and scraping our cars off in the morning, then waiting 10 minutes for them to warm up. The resident will cover her t-shirts and tanktops up with big frumpky winter coats. It's just awful in so many ways.

Oh well, themz the breaks, KF. You ought to hibernate like the bears, snuggle up in some corner and then awaken when Spring comes.

I think I'm gonna head down to Cali or Mexico this winter. Drive down actually.

As we speak, it's Hummelstown's first accumulated snow fall of the year, the ground is covered in glittering, packy snow and I frolicked in it for about 20 minutes. I made three snow figures and put them in my freezer, I hope my room mate doesn't get the wrong idea, .

You're never too old to see the positive side in your surroundings either. Teehee, . (Once, this goes mostly to you, you old fart. ^^)

Winter can be a nuisance and a bother and downright depressing to anyone and everyone, but given the right mindset, artistic or not, winter is a marvelous time of year.

And a good time to appreciate the things we DO have too!

KF is probably referring to the weather in the part of the world where he lives. They got whacked with a heavy snowfall and winter cold, and it hasn't been officially declared winter yet.

But I live on the opposite side of the country from him near Washington State. It's getting chilly here, but just rain. And we can always drive down to California if it gets too depressing. Which is probably what I'll do at Christmas.

But even w/o the snow in the Pacific Northwest, people complain too much here. Funny thing, when I was living in California, they did the same as well.

Heavy snowfall, eh? I would know something about that, being a native Wisconsinite. Well, excluding our last crazy few El Nino years. Lame winters, just cold, cold and colder.

I'd love to be in Florida for X-mas this year, though seems like PA is as close as I'll get!
