It is beyond me why anyone would be casting a vote to save the culture of this country. This sort of gives the impression you want the government to define what is a good culture. The issues you brought up weren't cause by the Bush administration they came about because of choice. People have the freedom to make those ya know. The choose to be greedy. They choose to worship ignorant people. The choose basically not care about anything except for a short period every four years.

Dear Resident,
I am glad to hear you will vote Democrat this time; it shows you are an open-minded voter who cares for the well-being of people of all segments of the American society
and not only for the ones in the upper (finacially-speaking) class. Although there is nothing wrong with being filthy rich as long as we do not forget to assist the struggling financialy-lower class. If we can waste $12 billion a month in foreign wars, we should be able to assist our needy citizens. Democrats do not assume that whoever is poor, it is because he is a drunk homeless drug-addicted hobo as in many cases the Neo Nazi republicans may think.

Can't we just ship them off to all of the trouble spots in the world, so instead of talking cheese, they take out the biscuits?

Its been said that an election is no time to talk issues. Elections are all about personality and charisma. If that the case McCain has the warmer more likable personality.

If the Democrats do not win the next election in the US they might as well pack it in and head off for an extended period of soul searching.

Considering the job the republicans did over the last eight years is it any surprise that anyone is voting something other than Republican?

It's possible we all misunderestimated him, though. He added some fun new words to the English language. :)

This Shrubbery guy Once refers to is a recovering alcoholic with substance abuse problems. He was a borderline C-/D student at Yale and Harvard. Little wonder the US is in trouble if they elect people like that.

I want not to agree with you, designer, but the Neo cons shouldn't be allowed to hide behind McCain's nice senior's face. We pretty much know their game plan if McCain gets into office and I don't see how he can hold them back. Another term would feel like a full on mandate to them.

The Republican Party in the United States reminds me a bit of the National Front or a NeoCon party now. They're not even small c conservatives, who really seemed to care about their communities and the people in them. In reality, the Democrats are quite conservative compared with other nations in North America and in Europe. When America finally gets medicare will be quite a day to remember.

I still think it's crazy cool you told us who you were voting for...when I ask people they say it's none of my business!

The problem with the shrubbery guy... oh, don't even get me and the rest of the world started. The world needs a communicator and a respecter of other cultures. It's good for business and, you know, stopping the odd war before it even starts.

Obama's ahead on my card. I like Nader, just not in a close election, if you know what I mean. If McCain picks Paris for VP, it could go any way.

Ralph Nader should be allowed to debate the two front runners during the televised debates in the fall.

Nader will be on at least 45 state ballots this year. Nader/Gonzalez 08

Can the deterioration of American culture be connected causally to the latest Republican administration, I think not. That track was set in the Reagan years & perpetuated by Democrat administration of Bill Clinton.

Election campaigns are a roller coaster ride. You are never sure where your stomach is going to be, you just hope you'll be able to retain the contents. You want to apologise for setting your former friend's car on fire. You agree to pool.

Who would Jesus vote for? Why doesn’t He smite Washington promise breakers? In terms of angels taking a leak, weather wise, would it be a good idea to buy an umbrella on election day?

Yes, people probably assume I'm a Democrat, with my liberal point of view and counter-cultural tendencies. However, I am actually registered independent of any political party. I've never voted Republican, granted, but it's not just a liberal-versus-conservative kind of thing for me. It's a whole-package thing. There are so many issues on the table this election year, and I'm not quite sure if either candidate is able to solve it all. The fact is Washington DC is a quagmire of interweavings, lobbyists, special interests, and bla bla bla. So I tend to vote for the candidate that I feel will inspire the general populace in a way that promotes social and cultural progress and change. So this year I'm voting for Barack Obama. Let's see what happens! Please to enjoy this political video. [More] [Less]
