Even though the election is over the best youtube video on the man was based on the single issue that defined the man.

Ten Differences have paid off. Well done Lor.
It was a Two to One difference in the Electoral College. 5 Million votes. There's a relief in the conclusion of this arduous conflict and political campaigning. Over. We have prevailed, finally.
Well, I just saw it happen. Barry is now President Elect. McCain's Concession Speech was over the top magnanimus and rending for all the horrible rhetoric. I really felt deeply for his effort and courage. My father was a warrior, too. A Naval aviator, too. But, this does not a president make.
I cried while Obama gave acceptance. If he achieves a small part of his campaign issues....we will all be better. Tonight, I am absolutely convinced that I am wrong about my trepidations over the defilement of our election system by the GOP and Karl Rove. The subpoena and deposition of Mike Connell yesterday made it more than apparent that even the government has stepped in to stop the blatant corruption of the election process. The Landslide is now history. It overwhelmed the electronic vote/IT manipulation by the GOP. Thankfully. It seems at this point McCain was a repeat of old politics so necessary to our growth to engage and involve everyone in being Americans. The changes are about understanding the needs of our people not the selfish desires of corporatism (aka fascism).
There is so much here in Hawai'i that it is more than joy to support the "not so perfect President" Barry. Chuckles. I can't wait. Bless all who read and share in this. Aloha, F. Buckley Lofton

Lori, on strategy room you said you were tired of voting for a 70 year old white dude. Dr. Thomas Sowell is a 70 year old black economist dude(a Marxist once). If there were one person I'd like you to read, it would be him.
He is a well known scholar. Author and columnist of a number of themes. After reading you'll see why his name is not mainstream.
"The study of history is a powerful antidote to contemporary arrogance. It is humbling to discover how many of our glib assumptions, which seem to us novel and plausible, have been tested before, not once but many times and in innumerable guises; and discovered to be, at great human cost, wholly false.

Please look and research very closely, your Federal Reserve, Fractional Banking. Understand it is not a government bank but privately owned (as our Bank of England and all other Central Banks are).
6. Please study Bilderberg Group, Council for Foreign Relations, Trilateral Committee. please ask yourself why Dick Cheney, at a CFR committee meeting, stated he did not mention he was chairman of the CFR when running for his Wyoming state candidacy. Please start understanding and questioning so many connections.
7. Please also understand that many such questions and connections plus a zillion others (and I'm trying not to mention 9/11 or the London bombings here) are going unanswered while more and more of your liberties are being stolen from you.
Lastly, before you wonder, I am a born and bred caucasian Scot living in the UK and I am writing this because I have researched for months (literally) and I am concerned. Deeply concerned.

Lori, you do a great job. My US friends, stop watching Fox News and good luck.

Hi, From someone across the pond but extremely interested in what's going on over there.
1. Call me a nut, but that's your prerogative, when i say Ron Paul was the most distinguished, full integrity, honest, straight candidate of either party and is possibly one of the best US Presidents you will never have.
2. Between Obama and McCain? Simple, the former (although both are people I would not trust with my grocery shopping or a red button in the oval office).
3. Lori suggests it will make a difference not having an old rich white guy in office... i assure you (if you allow me) that this will make no difference.
4. They have those 10 differences (many not major) but the differences will be lost not due to either of them having issues so much with the legislative branch but simply due to the fact, to get where they are (will be) either one will have sold his soul to those for whom he is a puppet. Democrat/Republican = No real difference. Two sides of the same coin just like Labour and Conservative here. They are just part of a much higher staked "crap game".
5. Please look at your country because you taking far more interest in your politics will ultimately affect the entire west. Please do not dismiss people who ask questions from whichever side they come from.

We could have saved so many millions of dollars, endured far fewer commercials, avoided so much degradation of pride and character, had we but heard it so clearly stated those oh-so-many months ago. Perhaps we'll learn from our mistakes..................................................
........................well, what can I say, I'm a dreamer.

I guess you've hinted at #11 at the end, which, in practice, might be among the most relevant.

McCain has to fight against the grain of a mostly Democratic legislative body, while Obama will be more likely to be working with them.

Not that either candidate will get their campaign promises automatically stamped by Congress - no President is ever that lucky - but you get the overall gist:

#11 - McCain's campaign promises are less likely to come true than Obama's campaign promises, due to the fact that any President has to work with Congress to make things happen.

Everyone knows who they are voting for but alas many are voting for talking points. I know people voting for McCain because he is not a socialist. If you press them on what a socialist is you get a blank look. I know people who are racist. I'm not voting for no "nigger" (their word). I know people who are voting for McCain because Government has screwed up this country and McCain is a hero. Any informed person knows this is not true but he has been selling this fantasy for more years than I can count. Look at what he has done to the pow's and the military and many of them are voting for the fantasy. I have tried to exchange ideas with these people but they won't accept any idea that conflicts with their fantasies.

Fortunately, most people I know aren't racist or ignorant but the number that are scare the hell out of me.

Good work Lori.

Renegotiate NAFTA? Hmmm, maybe Obama will be tougher on Canada and Mexico? McCain said in the 3rd debate he wants to keep the oil flowing from Canada. The election's outcome will have implications for America's trading partners depending on who's elected, Rezzie.

Personally, I don't know anyone who hasn't decided for which candidate they’re voting in the 2008 US Presidential Elections. And yeah, they’re all voting for Obama. I can’t imagine not having made up my mind at this point, either way. How could you not know enough yet? We’ve watched three presidential debates, we’ve seen their stumpy speeches all over the TV, web, and for some of us, even performed live on our streets. Everyone should know the rhetoric and the campaign promises by now. If you don’t, here’s a quick rundown of 10 issues where Obama and McCain have clearly different viewpoints and intentions. But seriously: Do you really trust a campaign promise to come true? I don’t. History kind of proves that, once a candidate gets into office, promises go out the window and reality barges in without knocking. The president has to work with the legislative branch to try to get anything done. Initiatives and bills are bundled, making it almost impossible to keep track of who votes for what. It’s all a big mess down there in Washington, and I can’t imagine wanting the job. So, while I genuinely like Obama’s platforms, I don’t really think they’ll happen quite like he promises. I’m not going to blame him for it; that’s just the way our government works. The real appeal of Obama for me is less about his campaign promises and more about his persona. He speaks in a language that makes sense to me. He doesn’t talk in circles, he doesn’t giggle at inappropriate moments. He doesn’t try to divert my attention away from the issue at hand. These are rare qualities in a politician in our government, and they’re ones I would absolutely love to see in our next President. Not to mention he’s a minority. It’s about time we try someone who isn’t a rich old white dude in the Oval Office. So yeah. I’m voting for Obama. If you still don’t know for whom to vote, maybe this political video will help.
